Back in Melbourne
I am back in Australia after spending 2 weeks in England to see my family and friends.
I got on the British Airways flight on Sunday Night and flew to Singapore, when I landed there it was 6pm and very hot, I sat on the roof for 30mins and had a cig whilst they were refueling the plane, then back on it to Melbourne.
1 hr into the 2nd leg of the journey and they had to turn off all the power, so we had no movies, hot food, laptop power or even a light so I could read. But I managed to sleep the whole flight without a sleeping pill so that was good. Which is more than I can say about the food, the 1st flight they offered me pork sausages or prawns is no option for a Jewish boy like me. And the steward even asked me to clean my seat area as I had made so much mess, I told him, you try and eat salf beef butties in the dark.
I landed in Melbourne at 6am so more darkness, I got to my flat and went downstairs for some eggs and then a boost drink and to bed. I have just woken up at 9pm and it is work in the morning so I hope I can get back to sleep very soon.
I have had a great time in England seeing all my friends and family and I wish we were nearer but at this moment in my life I can not see myself living in Manchester as the life here is a lot more relaxed and friendly.
Compare the Heathrow taxi driver who shouted at me to put out my cig to the taxi driver in Melbourne who I could not shut up for talking non stop.
Take care and I miss you all, if only we had BOOST in the UK.
