Today is Australia day, so I went down to Barbeques Galore to purchase a BBQ only to discover they had sold out. How Un-Australian is that? No BBQ on Australia Day. Sam Kekovich would shut down them down and deport them all for being Un-Australian LOL. I will have to make up for it by having lamb for dinner, what else on Australia Day? I'm nearly a Fair dinkum aussie :)
I was thinking this morning, why did I not get my citizenship done so I could have become an Australian on Australia day. Oh well, I can't wait another year LOL. No complaints over another public holiday in summer, even the kangaroos are at the beach.

On the 26th January 1788 the first fleet landed for the second time and before sunset, the British Flag (Queen Ann)was raised in the name of George III of Great Britain; So it is really a British holiday so why doesn't Britain have it off? The real day should be the 1st January (1901) when the six colonies became a federation, and the Commonwealth of Australia was formed.
