I have upgraded my broadband hardware after using it for nearly six years. I have said goodbye to my D-Link and said hello to BoB. BoB stands for Broadband in a box or should that be BiaB?
It is basically a 4-port Ethernet with on-board wireless capabilities plus it serves as a base station for a DECT phone which allows me to make and receive calls via both my standard line and my VoIP.
I was using a $20 phone and 6 year old hardware so the upgrade basically means I get cheaper and better quality phone calls and I can download at a higher transfer rate, i.e. faster. In Australia there is a broadband price war going on and you can now get over 1TB a month allocation. I need more storage space lol.
