Manchester United 1-6 Manchester City
Manchester, United Kingdom
I went to my first Premier League derby today since I left to live in Australia and what a game it was. We inflicted Manchester United's worst home defeat since February 1955 as the boys thrashed United in ruthless fashion to go five points clear at the top of the Premier League. Coincidentally that game in 1955 was also against us when we won 5-0 so today we went even better and scored six but conceded one.
I can not remember a game at Old Trafford where I was so relaxed and the time flew with lots of songs and the second was one way traffic. My seat was right at the front of the second tier so all the players celebrated the goals right in front of me which was amazing.
My quote of the day has to go to Mancini who said, You could hear the fans today and we are delighted for them. We're a unit - the players, the staff, the fans - and that is how we roll.
