I went to my first football match of 2013 when Fulham Football Club came to play Manchester City. We scored early and expected the flood gates to open but they did not and we had to wait until the second half for Silva to score his second goal and we could all relax.
The weather in Manchester has been cold but so far I have not had to leave the house for long. It was minus two Celsius and I had the option to sit in the Directors Box where they have heated seats and you can go inside at half time to warm up.
I took that option and dug out my suit and tie and I was able to sit outside for ninety minutes and not get frostbite.
