This week I could not find a hotel for under a 100 pounds so I headed down on Monday with my suitcase hoping that I could get one during my lunch. In the morning I watched as the rates increased and the availability reduced and it was starting to look like I would have to head back to Manchester.
I was saved however by a friend at work who had a spare flat for a week so I stayed at the Bridgewater Place which has been nicknamed The Dalek. It is the tallest building in Yorkshire and got this record in September 2005 and is apparently visible for up to 25 miles.
It was a nice place and was quiet being so high up, I went out and purchased some towels and soon made it my home for the week.
There was no TV in there and I had left my Mac and my Kindle in Manchester so I decided to go to the cinema on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
This is what I saw, Killing Them Softly, Lawless, Savages and Total Recall and I only recommend seeing Lawless out of them.
