Charity Ball
Tonight I went to a Young Professionals Charity Ball at the Melbourne Aquarium. The event was to support four charities: the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, beyondblue, Child Wise and Oxfam Australia.
AFL Grand Final 2005
This weekend I watched my first AFL (Australian Football League) game which was the Final. Instead of having a league they have a ladder with the two teams playing in a final game for the Championship.
Manchester Derby
C'mon the blues, I went to a pub in North Melbourne called the Keepers Arms which is owned by a city fan from Manchester who moved over to Melbourne.

I am nearly settled in my flat, in the next few days I should have my broadband installed and my webcam up and running.

I signed my lease for my new flat in Melbourne last week. I am hoping to move in next week , fingers crossed but after reading this in todays paper I am thinking it may be a bad move.
New Haircut
Morning , I went out shopping today and got myself a new pair of trainers and some jeans. Then I thought it was about time I had my haircut so whilst I was sat in the chair I started chatting about how long it takes to put some colour in it. He said he could do it there and then so I told him to hang 5 whilst I grab my psp from my flat.

What an end to the week, everyone has been so busy working on a new project that I was left to build a chat application for travellers to be featured on the lonely planet website.
Prom Night
What started off as a drunken conversation between two employees of Lonely Planet over from the USA office for 6 months became a reality as LP Australia celebrated a belated prom for those who missed out.

Weekly roundup. We launched 3 new versions of Lonely Planet websites , over 1500 pages of new code. They all launched successfully and we celebrated by having a few bottles of champagne in the office.
