I am back in Australia after spending 2 weeks in England to see my family and friends. Thursday Night I went to Australia vs Greece in the MCG where the opening ceremony for the Commonwealth Games were held. The game was not the best , George Samaras had a bad first half and was taken off at half time, there was pressure for him to start the game as his dad was born in Melbourne and played for South Melbourne. This weekend in Melbourne was the Greek Festival. A lot of the main roads in the city were closed and turned into a fairground with rides, food stalls and a live concert of authentic Greek music. The weather has been great in Melbourne the past couple of weeks. Warm and Sunny and since the clocks moved forward and we are now in Summer Time the sun is out later each day. Last night equaled the hottest night ever in Melbourne History. It was 34 degrees Celsius the entire night and at 9AM it had only dropped to 30. The only other time that temperatures have gone over 40 degrees Celsius and not dropped below 34 degrees Celsius during the night was in February 1902. They are predicting the temperature will rise again to 40 degrees Celsius today before a cool change comes in later this afternoon so at least tonight is expected to be cool. read more
We are having some amazing weather here at the moment in Melbourne while my family and friends freeze over there in England. This is , my place of worship and only a 15 minute train journey away. I finally upgraded my iPhone to firmware 3.0 and I have not seen any problems running it on my 2G yet and I have even managed to squash 25 icons on my desktop with a folder full of games. The past week here in Melbourne the weather has been between 90 and 100 making it a very sweaty week. On Friday it reached 102 and the air con at work broke down, so Friday morning was unbearable at work. I was at FedSq watching the game last night, and what a game it was. SOCCEROO fans rocked the city last night as Federation Square became the epicentre of Melbourne's World Cup celebrations. Tonight I went to a Young Professionals at the Melbourne Aquarium. The event was to support four charities: the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, beyondblue, Child Wise and Oxfam Australia. I just got my 2nd water bill after 5 years and it is worse than the one before. I am now using 239 Litres per day which is an increase of 9 Litres a day since I started trying to save water. Since I started to try and save water I have actually increased my usage LOL. read more
Another quarter and another failed target, I have not managed to hit the 155 litres a day target which the water board tell us we should aim for. I am using an average of 202 litres a day but it is 28 litres per day less than this quarter last year. At least I am on the right track by reducing my water but at this rate by the time I reach target 155 it will have been lowered to 100 litres. read more

I have just landed in dubai, I had just written a huge blog update but as I posted it the wi-fi crashed leaving me with no blog entry. I am sat in the longue in Dubai waiting for my next flight to Singapore, the flight was ok, a bit bumpy in parts and at one point all the trays were crashing around us which did make me a bit scared.
