This weekend to mark 60 years of The Queen's reign we were all given Monday and Tuesday off work to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee and make it a four day celebration.
The Queen came to the throne on 6th February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2nd June 1953. She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002 and this weekend her Diamond Jubilee (60 years).
On Saturday I went to Leeds to see a flat and I was about to rent it until I noticed there was no bed. It turned out it was a sofa bed so I declined his kind offer and the hunt for a flat continues.
On Sunday I went for an eye test and discovered I have an astigmatism which means my cornea is oblong shape, like a football instead of spherical. I ordered some specs and I will be modelling them next week.
