I had a very quiet birthday this year, it was that quiet that I kept forgetting it was even my birthday and it just turned out to be a run of the mill Monday.
I spoke to my parents and sister in the morning before work and as none of my cards had arrived I had nothing to open and once I had finished with those phone calls I headed into work where thankfully nobody knew and I settled down into my Monday routine.
That evening as it was a Monday night I went to bed early as I was recovering from a weekend of watching English football and did not even bother making dinner. I however did make myself a slow cooked lamb roast on the Saturday night as a birthday treat to myself.
In summary this was one of the worst birthdays I can remember and as my next one is the big one I am planning on going away on holiday so I do not have to face another day like this one.
