I have just watched last weeks fiftieth anniversary week of Coronation Street or Corrie as it has been dubbed by the fans. Australia are about 2-3 months behind England and I just did not want to wait so I downloaded the entire week and I was pleasantly surprised about how enjoyable it was, despite the three deaths but we did have one birth and a wedding to balance it out.
In Australia at the moment we have just seen John Stape kill Colin Fishwick and in England he is busy killing Charlotte so nothing changes. David Platt currently does not have a goatee in Australia so imagine how funny I found it when he popped up looking like this.
The live episode was very professional and one of the best I have seen, I kept forgetting it was filmed live as there were hardly any bloopers. The tram crash was impressively executed, and throughout the episodes, the cast gave unexpectedly strong performances. Although technically near flawless bar the odd shaky camera, errors included Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) being told she must wear a hard hat to see Molly - but then failing to wear one throughout her heartbreaking scenes.
