I upgraded my return journey from economy to business after I price matched them against Etihad and got Emirates to reduce the cost by 50%. This meant my luggage allowance increased from 30kg to 40kg plus I had just got enough air miles from the first leg to become a silver member (again) and that gave me another 12kg.

I landed back in Manchester around nine in the evening minus my suitcase which somehow did not manage to make the connection. I was at the conveyer belt waiting for my case and I got a text from British Airways saying my suitcase had not made the connection.
