I rented a car this weekend and drove down the coast to the Mornington Peninsula which is just over an hours drive out of Melbourne City. The beaches there are a lot nicer with none of the city hustle. I stayed there all day on the beach, swimming, eating and sunbaking. I really loved being mobile and I realise how much freedom a car gives you, so I'm now on the hunt for a 2nd hand bargin.
I've just come home from the football where Melbourne was playing in the Semi-Final against Adelaide United. Melbourne were 1 down after 4 mins and had to win due to the away goal rule. Danny Allsopp equalised in the opening stages of the second half with a spectacular strike. Knowing a draw would not be enough for Victory, Robinson secured the win in the dying stages of the match, sending the Telstra Dome crowd into a frenzied celebration. What an amazing finish in the 92min. Bring on the final in two weeks.
