I discovered on Sunday when I woke up that my dishwasher had broke and had stopped draining the water. I downloaded the manual from the website, I do not know why estate agents feel the need to keep the manuals so tenants have no idea how to work the appliances. I still can not get my air conditioning timer working after 3 years.
I had the manual downloaded, plastic gloves on and started to dismantle the dishwasher only to discover the blockage was in an area I could not get to but knowing my low skill level in this area I may have approached it all wrong. I informed the agent on Monday about it and have been pushing all week to get it resolved as my kitchen now looks like a bomb has hit it. I am now down to my last knife, glass and spoon and this week I have been finding places to get takeaways from which do not involve plates, I have done a burger, Thai, fish and chips and I am unsure what to eat tonight.
Today is Thursday and I finally heard the job has been assigned and I am waiting for them to call me. The delay is down to the agent trying to locate the owners for authorisation which sounds a bit silly as they have no choice but to fix it.
If you are reading this and thinking about moving into 200 Toorak Road then DO NOT, only a few months more to go and I can get out of this dump. Yes I know the dishwasher is not the buildings fault but I will save the 200 Toorak Road bashing for another post, maybe when my lease finishes or the building collapses, whichever comes first.
